A White Christmas Tree + A Giveaway

Tradition for us has always been decorating our Christmas Tree on Thanksgiving Day but as we will be traveling for Thanksgiving this year, we decided to turn on the Christmas music & begin the season a week early.  This year, I am excited to partner up with Balsam Hill & 11 other talented ladies for the 12 Bloggers of Christmas.  Each of us have decorated one of Balsam Hill’s gorgeous trees & will be sharing them throughout the next 6 days.  So if you were looking for some new inspiration, there will be 6 days of it so be sure to follow along.
By the way… A big welcome to those of you stopping over from Home Stories A to Z.  Wasn’t Beth’s tree beautiful?!
Over the past few years, I have literally been dreaming of a White Christmas.  Not necessarily the cold stuff outside, that rarely happens here in Atlanta, but instead I have been dreaming of a White Christmas Tree!  This year, my dreams came true with this gorgeous 7.5′ beauty.  And I am not sure we will be going back to our traditional green trees (we have two) after this… everyone in our family loves this tree!
Living in a smaller space, I have tried the slimmer trees & was always left a little underwhelmed… and while this tree is full & lush with a 56″ diameter, the fact that it is white allows it to brighten the space while complimenting our decor.  And speaking of decor, I was inspired by my little growing collection of blue & white vases & decided to adorn our white tree with white ornaments & simple blue bows in double faced satin.  After years & years of big bows of wired ribbon, I have come to learn that these simple bows are much more my style.
The lush branches are made up of three different types of branch styles, providing the most realistic shape even a white tree could have!  They are strong enough to hold my heavier ornaments, but still have a graceful weight to the end that a real tree limb would have.
My five year old daughter helped with the accent colors.  When I asked her what colors she would like she said “A candy colored Christmas.” so luckily I was more than willing to oblige.  Pink has always been a go to accent color for me regardless of the season, but pulling in the orange, pink & blue from our everyday decor simply enhances the rooms surroundings.
Even though it is a white tree we still wanted the smell of christmas in the air, we added in a few of these Spruce scented ornaments deep into the tree & have been enjoying the fresh scent of pine throughout our entire home.  I even stuck a few into our new white garland I purchased30 minutes  after putting up our tree!  I seriously loved the tree so much, I just had to order the garland as well.  I’ll be sharing that in the next few days!
Now it is your turn to celebrate with Balsam Hill!  As I mentioned before, there are 11 other blogger sharing their own decor.  Krsitin, from Bliss at Home will be next on the stop tomorrow, but for right now I suggest you head over to Balsam Hill and enter to win one of their generous prizes!!  Join their giveaway and get the chance to win one of 10 gift cards valued at $100, a gift card worth $300, or our top prize of a $750 gift card, which can be used to purchase one of their elegant Christmas trees.
