Decorating with Pink

Better Homes & Gardens has just released their favorite color palettes for 2015, and they are beautiful.  We have a lot (repeat… a lot) of what they are calling "Fresh Berry" within our home & love living in this sophisticated version of pink.  It's definitely still pink, but with some richer undertones it reads more chic & less juvenile.  I am often asked "how my husband lets me decorate with so much pink"…. well, "lets" is a strong word & basically he is just the best.  No trickery, he honestly just believes in my choices & goes with them.  I do think by mixing these berry hues with deeper shades like black & only accenting with them, it balances out the overdose of femininity.  Also, having such a small home where you can virtually see every room from the center of the house, it's nice to have a continuity of color that makes the entire space feel cohesive.  Obviously, this trick of taking the same tone of color throughout the house does not have to be pink!  It simply works in our home, with no objections.

If you too are a color fan & want to see more inspiration from the 2015 Color Pallette, you can follow along with me & many of your other favorite bloggers on BHG's newest Pinterest Board.

What colors are you loving this year?!!!  Dying to know.

  1. I love bright colors for accents and love how you have used pink. I recently re-did my foyer and chose a bright pink rug with gold and orange. It's one of those Pantone rugs and it's art for the floor! It really brightens the entryway ...especially on a gray winter day like today and compliments my leopard runner going up the stairs.

  2. interesting picture,, I really liked that as ini..and Thank you very much for the idea

  3. I love pink, and use it throughout my house too. And, I am the only girl living with 5 boys :) Good thing none of them really cares. They just "let" me do my thing! Love all your pinks!!

  4. I have been looking for the pink geometric fabric on the pillow in your breakfast nook. Do you happen to remember the name?
