A Little Statement Chair with One Kings Lane

I am a statement chair obsessed design fan.  We have more chairs than places to put them & have far too many to even place in our home.  My first “real” chair purchase was a vintage black strap leather Wassily Chair that I am itching to take out of our attic.  You all have been witness to a few of my chair makeovers as well.  { here  |  here  |  here } Some have stayed & some have moved on to new homes.
One Kings Lane has asked a very tough question… What feature chair in your home most reflects your personal style?!  I have to admit, while I love bright colors & patterns (as reflected by my previous chair posts) the one tiny chair in our home that makes the biggest statement about my design style is Chloe’s Lou Lou Ghost Chair.  What I love most about it’s design is that it easily transitions into any decor, while still standing strong enough to make it’s own statement.  The original Louis Ghost Chair & it’s tiny offsspring both are inspired by classic styles but interpreted in a modern way.  This is exactly how I take on design in my own home.  There must always be a nod to the past & future in any decor around here.  The other thing I love about this chair is the fact that it is probably the most used in the house.  It goes from room to room & is definitely one of Chloe’s favorite things.  When she outgrows this piece u=we might just have to upgrade to the original version too.
If you are a chair hoarder collector like I am, than you will love the new Home Decor Style Resource over at One Kings Lane.  This wealth of information allows you to either peruse the history of furniture & chairs as an educational tool or to look up that fab estate sale chair you picked up!  I love knowing the history & design process that goes into all furniture, so being able to determine it’s origin in one stylish place makes life that much easier.
And remember you can always go to One Kings Lane for some amazing vintage, antique & designer furnishings & accessories.
I hope you all are enjoying your last few days before Christmas!
