After looking through the images from the 2012 Southern Living Idea House I fell back in love with the ever classic Buffalo Check. I absolutely love the subtlety of this tonal wall treatment.
Buffalo Check can go country in a flash, but in the following spaces it takes on a chic attitude that I am currently coveting (& strongly considering for our home.)
This is the fabric that was used at the 2012 SL Idea House… FYI… it’s from Ikea! & at $8.99 a yard you too can easily incorporate this classic into your home as well!
I really like the scale of the buffalo plaids you featured. I think when you get into the really small closer to the scale of gingham is when it get way to country.
I just got rid of some buffalo check panels just like the ones in your second photo. They went to live at my sister's house, though, so maybe when she's tired of them I'll be ready to have them back for a while! Wasn't that SL house just the greatest?
Nice! Thanks for the tip and the beautiful inspirations! π
Wow….loving that buffalo check floor!

I love how it's used in a chic modern way as well! I love how subtle it is on the chairs in the second to last pic!
