hunted interior

Sorry I have been MIA this week.  I have been busy working on a few clients projects as well as sprucing up some projects of my own.  Here is a little break down of what my week has looked like.

First off, I am thrilled to have a client who says this is her inspiration image:

Pattern, Pattern & MORE PATTERN!  It is a beautiful work room that I know I would be inspired to work in.

Next... the hubs & I kind of hit the motherload.  There were a few houses in our neighborhood that left piles of furniture outside their homes after yard sales... So we nabbed all the pieces with potential we could grab!

Excuse these horrible pictures... but I have to share what we scored!

This tall dresser is all solid wood with dove tail joints, sturdy hardware & a scalloped edging down the side. I am envisioning something like this for the makeover...

Green dresser at the Viceroy. Love that color!

This end table (well it was an end table before the hubs ripped the top off) will be turning into an ottoman for our bedroom.

& my favorite find was this...

What crazy person picks up a hutch with no base... ummm... us.  Remember when we made our farmhouse table?  & I keep saying we were going to be building a hutch for it?... Well, I fully believe everything happens for a reason, because this hutch is the exact size that we were going to build.  Seriously.  So after priming & painting (& some acid! It's getting serious up in here folks!) this is turning out to be one amazing project!!!

Again, I am sorry I have been MIA, but there are plenty of projects to come!!!

  1. Oh, I'm so jealous! How come the garage sales in my neighborhood never leave behind goodies like this? Can't wait to see what you do with them!

  2. Awesome finds! I can't believe your neighbor's just threw them out, lucky for you. I can't wait to see the transformations...and I LOVE your new client's inspiration. That is going to be a fun project. Happy weekend.

  3. What great finds! I love that green dresser in the inspiration photo. I'm excited to see what you do with these. Megan

  4. Great finds! I can't believe there's nothing like that happening around here. :-) I love that green dresser...are you thinking of that color yourself? I also love the patterns and colors in the first photo. Color makes me happy!

    Have a wonderful weekend ~
