Hi, I'm Susi, a writer for Design Shuffle, a wonderful website devoted to promoting the work of designers from around the world. I'm so happy to be visiting The Hunted Interior today. My guest post is all about fabulous textures for floors. Whether texture comes from worn wood, natural jute or luxe sheepskin, texture on the floor adds interest and life to a room. Hope you enjoy these textural decorating ideas for the floor!

  Fabulous Textures
River rocks used as flooring give this bathroom fabulous texture on the floor. The rock flooring would be a great textural option for a mudroom as well as a bathroom.

  Fabulous Textures
The first thing you probably notice about this wood floor is the herringbone pattern. It's gorgeous. The soft, worn, butter leather feeling of an antique floor is a fantastic texture on the floor.

  Fabulous Textures
Natural jute and sisal area rugs add color, pattern, and fabulous texture to a room. These rugs have an organic feel that works well in modern, coastal and even farmhouse d├ęcor.

  Fabulous Textures
I love the mix of textures on the floor in this contemporary bedroom design. The sheepskin, dyed a gorgeous rich grey, against a berber or sisal carpet adds tons of texture to the space.

  Fabulous Textures
A fluffy Flokati rug adds a touch of glamour to this living room. Paired with smooth, reflective surfaces, the texture of the Flokati really stands out.

  Fabulous Textures
Area rugs are great for adding color and pattern to a room, but they can also add texture. The focus of this area rug is on the zig-zag texture rather than a colorful pattern.

  Fabulous Textures
Large scale tiles with a subtle ribbed texture add not only pattern but texture to the floor and walls of this Japanese inspired bathroom. Texture doesn't have to be striking to create an impact in bathroom designs.

  Fabulous Textures
This knitted rug feels like sweater for the bedroom floor. The thick knitted texture would be so cozy under your feet on a cold morning.
