Inspiration: Enter in Style

I don't know if it's the weather, the cold my daughter & I have been fighting, or just a lack of creativity, but I NEED some inspiration!  (and not in the form of a crafty holiday project) Enter Pinterest.  I am going to start an Inspiration series of posts. These posts will be a peak into my files of ideas for each room in the house.  Where better to start than the entry?!?

{ Please note: I have tried to find the original sources on these images, but sometimes they loose their link in Pinterest.  So I apologize for not giving credit where credit is due. }

Always a fan of white walls, board & batten, dark floors, big mirrors & a Lucite console.

Wish I could keep a shoe basket this neat!  Or keep my budding fashionista out of it.

A great way to make an old, boring piece of furniture is to paint it a bold color.  Love the turquoise. This could be an easy weekend update for any of you DIY'er's out there.

How Neutral should be done!  By incorporating various textures of the same shade you create interest.  LOVE.

Love this original mirror flanked by the artwork.  I am such a sucker for symmetry.  And YES! I am a believer in the fact that every console should have something under it.  It makes the space feel layered & put together.  Even adding a large urn is in unexpected touch. (Designer tip!)

Again... Neutral walls & a dark floor... I am so predictable.

A gallery wall is a great way to make a big impact in an entry.

If you have a narrow entry, make a big statement with Wallpaper!  I still love the Kelly Wearstler Imperial Trellis... I don't care what anyone else thinks!

And this is just pure GENIUS!

Seriously, if you haven't joined Pinterest yet... DO IT!

  1. OK...LOVE LOVE LOVE stairs with black treads, black handrails, white pickets and balustrade and white risers. When I grow up I want a house like that! And I want a two-story bay window opposite the stairs in the stair hall..looking out to a large blue/black bottomed fountain. I guess i better get busy making some money, huh?
